Joyce Porter Biography
Joyce Porter was born in Cheshire in 1924. She took an honours degree in English at London University and then served in the W.R.A.F. as an offices from 1949-63. During that time she was stationed for two years in Germany, and also spent six months living with a Russian emigre family as part of a Russian language course. She now lives in Hastings and has made writing her full-time occupation.
