Veronica Black Biography - Information About the Author
Veronica Black is a pseudonym of Maureen Peters born in 1935 and died 2008.
The "Vow of . . " books are Sister Joan mysteries (set primarily in Cornwall, England but she does seem to get about, her official sidekick is Detective Sergeant Mills) are well regarded amongst readers but have yet to catch the eye of most collectors, at the time of writing.
Both British and American publications (US noted above when known) both benefit form attractive dust jacket artwork.
The UK publisher RH poses the usual problem for collectors, that being ex-library copies, large proportions of the print runs were allocated to British public libraries making nice copies uncommon.
A note about the order of the books published in the same year; we have listed in the order they are held by the British Library.
