She stopped rocking as Alec refilled both their coffee cups and handed hers to her. She sipped the strong fragrant liquid and gazed reflectively out of the window. The light mist which had lain in the orchards, wreathing the trunks of the apple trees, had lifted now and it was going to be another golden day.
