Martin Fallon aka Harry Patterson Author Biography - Information About the Author
Martin Fallon, pseudonym of Harry Patterson but better known as Jack Higgins, born 1929, is a Hubin listed author though his books lean more to the thriller genre than crime fiction.
The first edition books listed in this bibliography are highly sought after by collectors and rare in truly collectable condition with original dust jackets - that makes them expensive.
Rarity is accounted for by short print runs and exacerbated by allocations to the public library service, most of the books printed went to libraries and are therefore lost or badly defaced.
This may lead even serious collectors to buying ex-library copies (still not cheap). That said, if you have the budget and patience then a full set of books could eventually be put together using specialist book dealers.
There are no issue points in the UK first edition books, very straight forward.
Readers are well catered for as the books were reprinted several times, usually under the Jack Higgins pseudonym.
The series character, Paul Chavasse, appears in all the books.
