Further Information
Kate Ross, born 1956 to 1998, had one main series character, Julian Kestrel, who is based in the early 1800s in London. A great series character and deserving of much wider appreciation, certainly here in England. I believe the American first editions precede the English. British editions had small print runs and consequently are not common. The H&S books require a number 1 in the printers key when applicable, they are also prone to light page tanning, due to the poor quality of the paper. Those seeking them out will not be disappointed either by the read or the appealing format.
