Further Information
Joseph Hocking, born in Cornwall 1860 to 1937, was the
father of the well known mystery writer Anne Hocking and brother to
Silas. A couple of his books were adapted into films but these are not
of a criminous nature. as well as being an author he was also a
clergyman-preacher as was his brother. Whilst his detective-mystery
output was slight his work in other genres was prolific and extremely
popular at the time. |
