Herbert Brean was born in America in 1907. As well as his criminous work he also wrote several non-fiction books and some uncollected short stories which appeared in various mystery magazines. In all cases, the US editions precede the UK. We have listed the alternative US titles were applicable. His series characters were William Deacon and Reynold Frame.
