SYNOPSIS ANOTHER baffling mystery for the author's celebrated detective, Inspector Anthony Slade. The story opens with a wireless call from Scotland Yard to the Flying Squad cars in the western area, and it is not long after this before a Squad patrol are hoc on the trail of a maroon-coloured saloon car believed to have been used by burglars of a house in Mayfair.
