SYNOPSIS
EVERYONE in Smithville except the anti-vice leagues had gone mad on fruit machines, and where there are people willing to gamble there is always someone ready to hold the stakes. Doc Wernitz owned all the slot machines in the vicinity, and it was rumoured that he held the cheques of many prominent citizens which he didn't think it politic to redeem.
