Alan Furst Author Biography - Information About the Author
Alan Furst was born in 1941 and is a Hubin listed author though his main body of work leans more to espionage / spy fiction rather than outright crime fiction.
Having read every book by Alan Furst, the espionage novels twice, we can heartily recommend his books, not something I can say for a lot of bibliographies I compile!
Alan Furst is at the upper end of literary quality in the genre and to simply label the books as "spy fiction" is a little unfair, especially as there's unfortunate prejudice against the genre in some literary circles.

The first editions in dust jacket are collectable books, early ones are not cheap. The American books precede the British editions in all cases I believe though due to print runs the UK first edition books are a lot rarer than their American counterparts.
Publishers demand promotional events by authors nowadays which means signed copies of Alan Furst's books are available, a serious collector interested in Furst's books would probably be advised to put together a set of books all signed by the author, in fine condition too - it can be done, at the time of writing that is!

This list of books by Alan Furst has been put together using the British Library, Bodleian at Oxford and the American Library of Congress, as well as our own book collection - it is a complete bibliography at th etime of compilation.
